Clowns luring kids into the woods
While in other times, people and their children would play outside more often. Things have changed in recent times. It seems that parents will have to keep a more watchful eye, out for their little ones. There are creepy clowns lurking in the woods. What their intentions are is anyone’s best guess. They are more than likely up to no good.
A staggering 800,000 children go missing each year in America alone. This equates into around 2,000 children a day. What happens to them is dreadful to think about. More often than not unfortunately they are found brutally murdered. Only the very few are lucky enough to find their children again. These statistics are fairly estimated, since many of the crimes never even get reported initially.
In Greenville county South Carolina, reports have come in recently of people dressed as clowns whispering, making noises trying to lure children into the woods with them. Their faces were painted and they had typical clown clothing on.
These clowns used cash money to bait the children to come get it from them. They also used green laser lights to lure the children. This is happening at an apartment complex located on White Horse Road. The property manager there mentioned “At no times should a child be alone at night, or walking in the roads or wooded area at night”.
One lady named Donna Arnold (a local resident) said: “I thought my child was seeing things, the next day I had about 30 kids come up to me” “The kids said did you see the clown in the woods?”. The kids even mentioned clowns were seen behind the basketball courtyard.
Also, it is believed by the kids that these clowns were living in an old house near a pond, which is accessible behind the apartment complex. Donna and James Arnold who live at the apartment complex have filed police reports including the incidents. They have two sons who they want to be safe.
People have a fear of clowns a phobia that leaves them in a panicked state of mind. Some people will simply freeze up not being able to move out of their fear of them. One man named Bruce Wilson (who is a community activist) said he is getting more involved to help make sure the 300 or so children are safe outside. He isn’t sure if these clowns are harmless or not, but what they are doing is very unusual.
Police have bolstered their numbers to help keep this neighborhood area safer at least for now, until the clowns return again.
