Farting Passenger Forces Emergency Plane Landing
Clearly some people have no manners when it comes to etiquette and how to behave in public. One man couldn’t control himself any longer and began to unleash enough flatulence to bring down an airplane for a emergency landing. The plane was in route from Dubai to Amsterdam.
The disruption couldn’t be tolerated any longer and the pilot of Dutch-based budget airline Transavia, made an emergency landing at the Vienna International Airport in Austria. It is difficult enough (for most people) just to tolerate being trapped inside a confined space with strangers for hours on end. Now, add in a really smelly situation that led people to discomfort and even a few on board who became disrupted.
Almost immediately, things began to spiral out of control while on board this airplane. It all started when a man reportedly began to fart so much it caused a real stink. The man next to him first politely asked him to stop. The man simply refused and continued to release gas from his ass.
This stinker seemed to be on a mission after being insulted. The passenger sitting next to the farting man became angrier. They then waved down a crew member to help them hopefully to put an end to the already smelly situation at hand. The crew quickly grew intolerant over this incident.
They were less than sympathetic about the entire ordeal as well. This seemed to piss off the two men sitting next to this stinker. The pilot entered the cabin and warned everyone to calm down. This was enough for a fight to break out. It is unclear if anyone was hit but one can only imagine. Forced by what was happening the pilot made the call to make an emergency landing in Vienna.
After landing, police along with dogs entered the plane and escorted several men along with two sisters seated a row behind them off the plane. The two sisters said they had nothing to do with what happened.
The airline claimed that both sisters were involved in a fight altercation. Now after this entire incident, the two young women of Dutch and Moroccan descent are suing the airline.
Nora Lacchab (one of the sisters) says that their participation in this commotion – was no more than sitting in the same row as the two men who were actually involved during the fist fight. Nora also said, that the flight attendants only adding fuel to the fire…instead of trying to calm everyone down.
The sisters said, “We had no idea who these boys were, we just had the bad luck to be in the same row and we didn’t do anything. All I will say is that the crew were really provocative and stirred things up.”
All four of the removed passengers were eventually released by authorities and have since been banned by Transavia Airlines. The airline later commented, explaining that their staff are well trained in these types of situations and took the appropriate actions as needed.
The unapologetic elderly farter was left on board the plane and not banned. Sometimes plane travel really stinks.
