Giant skeleton photograph taken
Visiting cemeteries can be peaceful most of the time. However, if someone wanders into the resting place of the dead sometimes one can stir a restless soul. A couple decided to snap a few pictures which was adjacent to a Victorian chapel. What they found later in their photograph was rather disturbing. They unknowingly released the spirit of a rather large skeletal ghost.
This event was taken by a couple of wedding guests, their photograph shows an extraordinarily large ghostly figure which resembles a large skeleton. Oliver 35 and Mary Davey 32 noticed this scary skeleton face around 6:30 pm on Saturday at Arnos Vale Cemetery located in Bristol, England.
Oliver said:
“I was amazed really. I showed this to my wife and a lot of the other wedding guests.
“I am sure there wasn’t anyone near me—nobody was smoking—so I don’t know what it is.
“The funny thing is I had just been having a conversation about how I didn’t really believe in ghosts, so it was spooky timing.”
Arnos Vale Cemetery is rather old, it was first built in 1837 and the first known burial was in 1839. After time the cemetery followed a joint-stock model being funded by shareholders. The re-opening of the cemetery was successful after a five million pound restoration project. The cemetery has been refinished with an Arcadian landscape design.
As with many cemeteries, it is said to be haunted. A nun is buried here who was bricked up in a wall by her distraught sisters. This happened after she committed suicide learning that she was pregnant. But this isn’t the only disturbing story, a weeping woman dressed in black also haunts this area. Her husband was killed in World War I. Rumors of a woman who was mistakenly buried alive is said to be buried here also. We can only hope these spirits rest in peace and move onward.
