Ghost hunter stabs himself

Sometimes investigations to the unknown are something not to be taken lightly. This time around a paranormal investigator named Robert Laursen age 37 joined a family group of ghost hunters. This took place at the Villisca Ax Murder House in Iowa. The location is known for a rather gruesome murder scene which took place in 1912 involving eight different murders. Since this time, the area is now a popular attraction for tourists believing in its haunted nature.

Robert was taken to the hospital after stabbing himself in the chest. Was this the work of a paranormal presence? Perhaps. This area is now known for both the haunting s and stabbings. Robert and his group decided to investigate this location just before 1 AM on Friday. The sheriff on the scene named Joe Sampson, reported that Robert Laursen was alone inside the house when others there heard him yell out in terror for help.

After seeing him covered in blood from stab wounds in his chest, they immediately called 911 for help. It was like something from out of a movie. When paramedics arrived on the scene, he was in critical condition and afterward take to Omaha hospital. There was no suspicious criminal activity reported from the scene and no indications of any foul play.

This Villisca Ax Murder House is actually registered as a Historic location. If you are feeling up to the experience, you can actually spend the night here or simply wander around in the daylight hours as well.

With the amount of foot traffic which comes through here, there are a number of crime enthusiasts and paranormal investigators who hope at the chance to solve this now century old case.

Martha Linn who works here mentioned: “It’s all walks of life that have an interest in that story, sometimes it gets overpowering when you’re in there at night.” Even though this house does have a rather disturbing past, there is nothing dangerous here she said. Until now it has been quite for paranormal hunters who have roamed the halls now 20 years to date.

Martha also said: “It’s kind of shocking to wake up and hear that someone has nearly died at your tourist attraction, she said. “I can’t imagine why somebody would do something like this to himself.”
